The Challenge
The original bathroom felt dated and uninspired, anchored by an oversized deck-mounted tub and builder-grade finishes that lacked character. Despite adequate space, the layout offered little visual interest or sense of luxury, leaving the room feeling flat and disconnected rather than cohesive and refined. The homeowners wanted a bathroom that felt intentional and elevated—without unnecessary structural changes or permit requirements.
The Solution
Gold Standard Bathrooms completed a full renovation, taking the space down to the studs to reset both form and function. Designed by in-house designer Rosalia, the new layout focused on elegance, symmetry, and carefully curated materials. A freestanding tub replaced the outdated deck tub, while decorative tile selections, picture-frame shower accents, and a hidden linear drain introduced subtle visual depth. Finishing details like a James Martin vanity with an integrated makeup seat, LED mirrors, heated towel bar, and crown molding throughout transformed the room into a sophisticated, design-forward retreat centered on comfort, clean lines, and timeless luxury.
